Foreign Minister Murray McCully visited Fiji on Monday 29 February to discuss the response to Tropical Cyclone Winston with the Fiji Government and look at how New Zealand can support recovery efforts.
Foreign Affairs Minister and National Party Member for East Coast Bays Murray McCully has announced that he will not contest the East Coast Bays constituency in next year’s general election. He advised his East Coast Bays electorate AGM of his decision last night.

“Spain is an important partner for New Zealand and a key member of the European Union,” Mr McCully says.
Foreign Minister Murray McCully today named diplomat Joanna Kempkers as New Zealand’s next High Commissioner to India. Ms Kempkers will be based in New Delhi and cross-accredited to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
“As members of the Asia-Pacific region, New Zealand and India have a close relationship,” Mr McCully says.
