Foreign Minister Murray McCully visited Fiji on Monday 29 February to discuss the response to Tropical Cyclone Winston with the Fiji Government and look at how New Zealand can support recovery efforts.
Foreign Affairs Minister and National Party Member for East Coast Bays Murray McCully has announced that he will not contest the East Coast Bays constituency in next year’s general election. He advised his East Coast Bays electorate AGM of his decision last night.
Foreign Minister Murray McCully has today signed two arrangements with China aimed at strengthening cooperation in the areas of fisheries and international development, particularly in the Pacific region.
The arrangements were signed in Wellington as part of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to New Zealand.

"Establishing a High Commission in Colombo is a sign of New Zealand’s commitment to strengthening the relationship between our countries," Mr McCully says.
